Do you feel shy and have a fear of being judged when you try to sing ? Or perhaps you are a confident singer but feel like you could get freer and more creative with your voice ?
Voice DNA is a workshop series that holds a fun, playful and non-judgemental space - where there is no good or bad voice, only opportunities to free and celebrate your natural voice.
You don't need to be a singer to join. The workshop is actually more about sounding than singing - meaning that we let go of the pressure to perform and explore our voice as a vehicle of freedom, expression and wellbeing.
Sessions are suitable for all levels, with a different theme each week.
All sessions include a gentle sound bath where you’ll be invited to rest and relax in meditative soundscapes.
* Free your natural voice * Build confidence * Play, have fun and be creative * Express your emotions through the voice * Release tension, relax and breathe deeply * Tune up with the aid of sound healing instruments such as singing bowls, shruti box and shamanic drum * Experience the joy of sounding in a group * Learn to calm your mind and be more spontaneous * Tap into the healing potential of your own voice
Voice DNA follows a structure of 6 weekly cycles that explore the voice from different perspectives that complement each other. Booking all 6 sessions is a great investment towards developing your singing voice, confidence and creativity.

28.5.16 This week's Voice DNA took place in the beautiful artists' town of Groznjan, which is a gorgeous medieval village in the Croatian mountains. The two sessions I led were part of the International Vocal Arts Workshop. There are a lot of classically trained singers here, my secret mission was to make them forget about their training for a while and take steps towards being free, playful and spontaneous with their voices. It was a surprising challenge for them but they all did really well !
24.4.16 Voice DNA takes place every Thursday between 8:15 and 10:15 pm at The Hive Dalston and the cost of the workshop is 10 pounds (Concessions: 5 pounds for low-waged).
