Uran Apak is an inter-disciplinary artist and vocal coach, helping people use their voice as a vehicle of change, personal growth and emotional healing. Uran has been helping people free their voice since 2005. He holds an MA in Sonic Arts from Goldsmiths University and previously studied Comparative Literature. He has performed at The Barbican Centre, The Roundhouse, Southbank Centre, toured the UK and abroad with his music projects and released four albums. He is an award-winning songwriter and film composer. As a workshop leader, Uran has held voice workshops in community centres (Passing Clouds, The Hive), hospices (St. Joseph's Hospice), companies (Designit), festivals (Green Gathering, Vibrations of Anatolia) and yoga centres (MahaDevi Centre, Githa Yoga). He currently facilitates private groups and one to one sessions in his home studio in Hackney. Uran studied with exceptional voice teachers such as Bobby McFerrin and Rhiannon in New York; Mike King, Jenni Roditi and Michael Ormiston in London; Timur Selcuk in Istanbul and Bat-Oyun in Mongolia.
